                               Placing of Shares


Symphony Plastic Technologies, the degradable plastics company, announces that
it has placed 460,000 new ordinary shares of 1 pence each at a price of 19.5
pence per share. The price having been agreed at the start of business on the
7th February 2005. The placee is a personal pension fund of an employee of the
company.

Application has been made to admit the shares to trading on AIM and dealing is
expected to commence on Friday 11th February 2005.
