Reaction to BA regional plans

Sutton Harbour Holdings PLC 17 December 2002 Sutton Harbour Holdings plc, operator of Plymouth City airport, notes the recent announcement from British Airways regarding the withdrawal of services from 21 regional routes and its intention to move towards an all-jet regional operation at some time in the future. There are no implications in these proposals for current operations at Plymouth City Airport. However a move by BA to an all-jet regional fleet adds weight to our current proposals for the provision of a new Plymouth Airport. We shall therefore continue to encourage informed debate on this issue with all interested parties in line with our stated aim of providing the best possible air services for the region.
