The directors of Surgical Innovations Group plc (the 'Company') announce that
they have been informed today that City Equities Limited has disposed of
12,470,000 ordinary shares in the Company and is now interested in 7,530,000
ordinary shares representing 2.96 per cent. of the Company's issued ordinary
share capital.

As a result of this disposal, City Equities Limited no longer has a notifiable
interest in the Company.
