The directors of Surgical Innovations Group plc (the 'Company') announce that
they have made an application for 166,106 new ordinary shares of 1p to be
admitted to trading on AIM.  These ordinary shares have been issued to Mr T E
Almond at a price of 1.75p per share in respect of his entitlement under the
Company's sharesave scheme.  Dealings are expected to commence on 12 July 2002.
