              Signature Restaurants PLC ('Signature Restaurants')

The Board of Signature Restaurants announces that as a result of an allotment of
20,000 new ordinary shares of 20 pence ('the New Ordinary Shares') pursuant to
the exercise of share options, application has been made for the New Ordinary
Shares to be admitted to the Official List and to trading on the London Stock
Exchange. It is expected that such admission will become effective on 12
November 2002.
