Sunrise Diamonds PLC 20 March 2006 www.sunrisediamonds.com 20 March 2006 LAB ANALYSIS YIELDS TWO MORE MICRO-DIAMONDS FROM ANOMALY 45 KIMBERLITE IN FINLAND • Results From Two 23kg Samples Taken From Two Separate Drill Holes • Total Of Seven Micro-Diamonds Now Found At Anomaly 45 Sunrise Diamonds plc ('Sunrise' or 'the Company') is pleased to advise that two further samples from follow up drilling of the Anomaly 45 kimberlite in the Kuusamo kimberlite cluster have returned micro-diamonds. The results follow further drill testing of the Anomaly 45 kimberlite in which 5 holes were drilled in a NE-SW traverse across the kimberlite either side of the discovery hole 45-01-05 announced in October 2005. The traverse established a minimum width for the kimberlite of 55m in a NE-SW direction. The dimensions in the opposite direction are yet to be established. One micro-diamond was recovered from each of two separate samples of 23kg from two separate drill holes. The micro-diamonds were recovered from kimberlite samples from drill holes 45-03-05 (23.6 kg taken from 5.6-23.1m down hole) and 45-04-05 (23.2kg taken from 7.9-28.5m down hole) after caustic dissolution of the kimberlite at the independent Kennecott Canada Exploration Inc. laboratory in Canada (Accredited to ISO/IEC 17025). All the samples analysed from the Anomaly 45 kimberlite have now returned micro-diamonds, a 26kg sample from drill hole 45-01-05 having yielded five micro-diamonds. As a part of the ongoing exploration in the Kuusamo kimberlite cluster a ground magnetic and electro-magnetic survey has now been completed over an 8 sq.km. area surrounding the Anomaly 45 and 47 kimberlites and several further targets have been identified. These additional targets will be tested as a part of the wider drilling programme now in progress in the Kuusamo area. The Company's exploration efforts in the Kaavi-Kuopio area are also continuing. A 28kg composite sample of existing drill core from the Koskeniemi kimberlite returned no micro-diamonds but further sampling will take place in other known kimberlites from this area in the near future.
