DIRECTORATE CHANGES

Sunrise, the diversified mineral exploration and development specialist is pleased to announce the appointment of David Swan to the Board as a non-executive director of the Company with effect from 31 May 2012. 

Mr. Swan will replace Mr. Neil Herbert on the Board who is resigning as a non-executive director with effect from 31 May 2012.  Mr. Herbert has served as a non-executive director of the Company for seven years and is resigning to concentrate on his executive responsibilities with Polo Resources Ltd.

Mr. Swan is a Chartered Accountant with a career focus in the retail and natural resource industries. He joined Arthur Andersen after graduating in 1977, and from 1991-1996 acted as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) or Finance Director for a number of ASX listed mining companies. He returned to the accounting profession in 1996 as Group Leader of the Mining and Resource Group at Ernst & Young in Sydney. After relocating to the UK in 2001 he continued his involvement in the natural resources industry including a position as CFO of Oriel Resources plc undertaking the IPO, TSX listing and reverse take-over of a major smelting business. He has also held various other non-executive directorships, the most recent of which are disclosed below.

Commenting on today's announcement, Patrick Cheetham, Executive Chairman, said: "We are sorry to be losing Neil as a non-executive director but in David we can welcome a new non-executive director with a similar commercial and audit background that makes him ideally suited to replace Neil as Chairman of the Audit Committee. On behalf of the Board I would like to thank Neil for his significant contribution to the Company since its listing on AIM and wish him well with his other interests."
