Sun Life Fin.Services of Canada Inc 8 April 2002 SUN LIFE FINANCIAL TO DELIST ITS SHARES FROM THE LONDON STOCK EXCHANGE (TORONTO, April 8, 2002) - Sun Life Financial Services of Canada Inc. (TSE, NYSE: 'SLC') today announced that it has given notice of its intention to delist its common shares from the London Stock Exchange, effective 8 a.m. GMT on May 8, 2002. The decision to cancel the Company's secondary listing on the London Stock Exchange was based on the low trading volume and the cost to maintain this listing. Sun Life Financial Services of Canada Inc. will continue to maintain its primary listings on both the Toronto Stock Exchange and New York Stock Exchange to provide ongoing liquidity for shareholders world-wide. The Company will also maintain a secondary listing on the Philippine Stock Exchange, where it is often one of the most actively traded issues.
