SMG announces two-year deal with Setanta

SMG plc announces that its stv Ventures business has secured a two-year deal with satellite sports broadcaster Setanta Sports. This sees a continuation of the successful strategic partnership that SMG and Setanta have enjoyed since 2004.

The new deal begins in August 2008 for the 2008-2009 football season and continues for the duration of the 2009-2010 season. SMG will provide broadcast and production services for Setanta from its state of the art headquarters in Pacific Quay Glasgow.

Commenting on the deal, SMG Chief Executive Rob Woodward said: 'This is a continuation of an exciting strategic partnership for us and represents an upside to our 2008 Ventures budget. We have had a successful four-year relationship with Setanta and look forward to providing top quality broadcast services in the future.'
