15th February 2013

STV Productions has been commissioned by ITV to make a one-hour celebrity special of all new Catchphrase.

The one-off hour long episode will feature three celebrities attempting to 'say what they see' to raise as much money as possible for their chosen charities.

The celebrity programme will be presented by new Catchphrase host Stephen Mulhern.

ITV1 has commissioned 8 x 45' episodes of the all new Catchphrase. The celebrity special was commissioned by ITV's Controller of Entertainment, John Kaye Cooper.

The celebrities are Steve Pemberton (Benidorm, Whitechapel), Kym Lomas - nee Marsh (Coronation Street) and Rosemary Shrager (I'm A Celebrity ... Get Me Out Of Here!).

The brand new series of Catchphrase is co-produced by STV Productions and DRG. The show created by Pasetta Productions has been updated with a brand new set, exciting 3D graphics and a dynamic new end game.

Gary Chippington, head of entertainment at STV, said: "It is fantastic to be bringing this iconic game show back to ITV viewers. Catchphrase is a much loved show and it is great that a celebrity special of the rejuvenated format has been commissioned - we fully expect the celebs to enjoy it as much as the viewers."
