STV Group plc confirms appointment of Steven Walker as Director, Corporate Development

STV Group plc has today confirmed the appointment of Steven Walker in the newly created role of Director, Corporate Development. Steven joins the STV Leadership Team, reporting to Rob Woodward, Chief Executive Officer.

Steven's primary responsibility will be the growth of STV's classified businesses and in particular, developing these activities through the newly established platform of STV Local.

Steven has extensive experience in the media, advertising and publishing sectors.  He was formerly Managing Director Scotland with News International Newspapers Limited where he was responsible for driving growth in revenues and taking the Scottish titles to the number one position in their respective market places.  Prior to that, Steven was Managing Director of Scotsman Publications Limited, during which time he played a lead role in the acquisition and disposal of a range of titles and the development of digital publishing.
