SMG acquires a further stake in SRH

The Board of SMG plc ('SMG') today confirms that it has acquired a further
1,937,587 ordinary shares in Scottish Radio Holdings plc ('SRH'), representing
5.9% of the company's issued share capital.  These shares were acquired at
1595p per SRH share and represented a total consideration of £30.9 million.

As a result, SMG now owns a total of 6,850,395 ordinary shares in SRH,
representing 20.8% of the company's issued share capital.
