Announcement:  15 July 2002

The Chairman has today sent a letter to all Shareholders in which he has
included the following sentence containing information not previously disclosed:

'I am pleased to report that the trading activities of the past six months have
increased the net asset value per share from 2.32p to 6.1p, or 5.28p on a fully
diluted basis; all prices are based on the mid market prices of our trading
investments at the close of business on 11 July.

'The Directors are pleased with the performance of your Company's trading
activities to date and look forward to a most exciting and rewarding future.'
