Net asset value at 31 March 2007

The Directors report a 16% increase of £2.1m in the value of the Starvest
portfolio since 31 December 2006, the date of the last quarterly update.

The net asset value based on mid-market closing prices on Friday 30 March 2007
was £15.4m, which equates to 37.7 pence per share, an increase of 5.44 pence per
share since 31 December.  All values are calculated on a fully diluted pre tax
basis.

During the quarter, the Starvest share price has risen from 17 pence to close at
26.5 pence; the discount to net asset value at 31 March 2007 was 29.7%.

Interim statement

The Board plans to issue a full interim statement on 12 April 2007.
