Stagecoach Theatre Arts provide quality performing arts education to children aged four to sixteen, teaching them to act, dance and sing, providing them with basic skills which help boost confidence and self-esteem. As a result of its success in the UK, StageCoach operates schools in Australia, Germany, Ireland, Spain and Malta and was launched in Minneapolis in the USA in 1997, where it has run six successful managed schools. Eli Coats from Jackson Heights, a well established teacher of acting and directing and Helen Coleshill, originally from England, an experienced composer, musician and producer who has worked with the BBC in New York, are both to open Stagecoach schools in Manhattan. Richard Padro, an actor and Master of Fine Arts from the University of California, is to open his StageCoach school in his home town of Brooklyn Heights. These StageCoach Theatre Arts schools in New York will be the first in the USA to be operating under franchise, and mark a major milestone for the expansion of Stagecoach in the USA. The new schools will operate in New York Upper East Side, New York Downtown Manhattan and Brooklyn Heights. They will open their doors to their first students in September 2004.
