                             DIRECTORS' PORTFOLIOS



Following the changes to the Board of Directors of Standard Chartered PLC
announced on 20 November 2006, additional changes have been made to the
portfolios of other Directors and Senior Management.


Mike DeNoma, Group Executive Director, will now lead Group Strategy in addition
to his existing responsibilities for the Group's Consumer Banking Business
worldwide.


The change takes effect immediately.
