Transforming Rehabilitation contract update

Staffline awarded preferred bidder status with UK Ministry of Justice to run Community Rehabilitation Company (CRC) in Warwickshire & West Mercia

Staffline, the national recruitment, outsourcing, training and Welfare to Work organisation, providing people and operational expertise to industry, is pleased to announce that EOS has been notified it has been selected as Preferred Bidder to provide probation and rehabilitation services in Warwickshire & West Mercia, as part of the UK Ministry of Justice's Transforming Rehabilitation programme.  Transforming Rehabilitation is a reform programme that is changing the way offenders are managed in the community to bring down reoffending rates while continuing to protect the public.

The contract will see EOS manage the delivery of all probation and rehabilitation services to low and medium risk offenders across Warwickshire & West Mercia, including support for offenders who are released after serving prison sentences of less than 12 months.  This group, which numbers around 50,000 nationally, currently receives no supervision or rehabilitation support after release despite accounting for the highest rates of re-offending.

Andy Hogarth, Chief Executive of Staffline, commented:

"We are delighted to have been awarded preferred bidder status by the UK Ministry of Justice.  As a national recruitment services company and a leading provider of four Welfare to Work contracts as well as a provider of young people's support services, we believe our continued effectiveness and unique approach has been central to this successful award. We look forward to working alongside the probation and rehabilitation services to support the broader community in Warwickshire & West Mercia."
