Voting Rights and Capital

In conformity with the Disclosure and Transparency Rules, SJPs issued
share capital consists of 479,601,552 ordinary 15p shares with voting rights.
SJP holds nil ordinary 15p shares in Treasury.

Therefore, the total number of voting rights in SJP is 479,601,552.

The above figure (479,601,552 ordinary 15p shares) may be used by shareholders
as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are
required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in SJP,
under the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
