Price Control Review

Scottish & Southern Energy PLC 19 December 2007 SCOTTISH AND SOUTHERN ENERGY PLC GAS DISTRIBUTION PRICE CONTROL REVIEW Scotia Gas Networks ('SGN'), in which Scottish and Southern Energy ('SSE') has a 50% stake, has decided to accept Ofgem's final proposals for the gas distribution price control for 2008-13, subject to confirmation that the related licence reflects the intent of the proposals. SGN has concluded that there is within the overall package of proposals, covering issues such as operational and capital expenditure, 'shrinkage' gas and metering, enough scope to secure adequate revenue for the five years to 2013.
