London, UK - 28 October 2011: Spirent Communications plc ("Spirent", the "Company" or the "Group") (LSE: SPT), a leading communications technology company, announces the following statement on the flood situation in Thailand on supply chain.

Supply Chain unaffected by floods in Thailand

While large areas of Thailand are experiencing flood conditions, there is no impact on Spirent's supply chain at the manufacturing facility operated by Celestica based in Laem Chabang, where there is no sign of flooding.

Suvarnabhumi Airport, which is unaffected for the movement of freight, is the main route for import of our raw materials and export of our products.

None of our component suppliers have been affected.  We have confirmed the situation by a personal visit to Celestica by Chris Wiese, our Chief Operations Officer.  We are glad to report that our colleagues at Celestica are safe.
