London, UK - 29 February 2016: Spirent Communications plc ("the Company") (LSE: SPT), a leading communications technology company, would like to notify the market in accordance with the Financial Services Authority's ("FSA") Disclosure and Transparency Rules of the following changes in the interests of a Director / Person Discharging Managerial Responsibility:

The Company was notified on 26 February 2016 that on Friday 26 February 2016, Eric Hutchinson, Chief Executive Officer had purchased two tranches of Ordinary shares in the Company as follows:

·     297,464 Ordinary shares at 83.6000 pence per share

·     58,787 Ordinary shares at 84.5000 pence per share

After these transactions, Mr Hutchinson has increased his beneficial interest in the Company to 1,723,764 Ordinary shares (0.282% of the Company's issued Ordinary Share capital at the date of this announcement) and holds 1,330,415 share incentive awards.
