Spice PLC 20 March 2007 20 March 2007 Spice plc Contract EDF Energy - Workstream Five- Overhead Lines The Board of Spice plc ('Spice') is pleased to announce that Freedom, its Utility Services business, has been selected to work as a key service partner to EDF Energy Network Business in connection with delivering improvements to its electrical distribution overhead lines network. The contract runs until December 2010 with an option to extend for a further five years to December 2015. The average estimated turnover value per annum is expected to be £8 million. Work activities will focus on the refurbishment and replacement of overhead line assets throughout the South East and the East of England. Spice has previously announced in December 2006 that Freedom had been awarded contracts by EDF Energy Networks Business for the provision of management and maintenance services in relation to civil and building assets, and appointed as a key service partner in the investment in, and upgrade of, Major 132/33KV substations, throughout London, the South East and the East of England.
