Spice PLC 21 December 2006 21 December 2006 Spice plc Contract EDF Energy - Workstream One - Major Substation Projects The Board of Spice plc ('Spice') is pleased to announce that its Utility Services business has been selected to work as a key service partner to EDF Energy Network Business in connection with delivering improvements to its electrical distribution networks and infrastructure throughout London, the South East and the East of England. The contract is for four years with an option to extend for a further five years to December 2016. The average estimated turnover value per annum is expected to be £10 million. Work activities will focus on the investment in, and upgrade of, EDF Energy Networks Major 132/33KV substations. As a result of this, Spice will establish new offices in East Anglia and the South East, within which we will be working alongside client staff from EDF Energy Networks Business as part of an integrated project delivery team. Spice has previously announced in May 2006 that its Utility Services business had been awarded two five year contracts for the provision of volume asset replacement services to EDF Energy Network Business - the contracts cover 11KV Switchgear changes in Eastern England and the South East.
