EDF Energy Contract Extension

Spice plc, the leading provider of Outsourced Utility Support Services, is pleased to announce that Freedom, its Electricity business in its Distribution Division, has extended its contract with EDF Energy for the Maintenance of Building and Civil Assets. The extended contract runs to the end of 2015.

Martin Towers, Chief Executive of Spice plc, said:

"We have an important, long standing partnership with EDF Energy, and we are delighted to have extended this contract.  This is excellent news, built upon our exceptional service delivery and technical skills base, and follows the extension of our Major Substation Projects and Overhead Line Works contracts with EDF Energy announced in July 2010.

"This extension adds an additional level of certainty to future work flows within the Group's Distribution Division, in a market with strong regulatory and environmental drivers."
