                     Completion of Hewden Tools Acquisition



Speedy Hire is pleased to announce that completion has taken place of its
acquisition of the trade and assets of the tool hire division ('Hewden Tools')
of Hewden Stuart Plc.



On 14 June 2007 the Company announced the proposed acquisition of Hewden Tools
and the placing in two equal tranches of 4,359,800 new ordinary shares of 5p
each at a price of 1250 pence per share ('Placing Shares').  The second tranche
of 2,179,900 Placing Shares ('the Conditional Placing Shares') was conditional
upon completion of the Acquisition and the passing of resolutions at the
Company's AGM on 17 July 2007.  These conditions having been satisfied,
application has been made for admission of the Conditional Placing Shares to the
official list of the UK Listing Authority and admission to trading of the
Conditional Placing Shares to London Stock Exchange plc's market for listed
securities.



Admission to listing and to trading is expected to take place on 2 August 2007.
