                             Purchase of Own Shares



On 23 December 2004 Solid State Supplies plc (the 'Company') bought 53,677
ordinary shares for cancellation at 48 pence per share, representing 0.86 per
cent. of the Company's current issued ordinary share capital.



Following the cancellation of these shares, the Company has 6,171,323 ordinary
shares in issue.
