Dublin, London, 19 June, 2007: Smurfit Kappa Group plc ('SKG' or the 'Group'), one of the world's largest integrated manufacturers of paper-based packaging products with operations in Europe and Latin America, today announced that three Executive Directors, Gary McGann, Tony Smurfit and Ian Curley have increased their shareholding in the Group. Senior Independent Director ('SID'), Liam O'Mahony also increased his shareholding in the Group. This follows the recent acquisition of shares by the Chairman, Sean Fitzpatrick.

In total, the Group's Executive Directors, SID and Chairman have recently acquired 395,537 shares representing .0.2% of the issued share capital.
