Appointment of Executive Director

The Board of HC Slingsby plc is pleased to make the following announcement.

With effect from 1 January 2005, Mr Lee Wright is to join the Executive Board of
HC Slingsby plc as Marketing Director.

At present, Mr Wright, who has a BA Hons degree in business studies/marketing,
is Head of Marketing at HC Slingsby plc.  He joined the company as marketing
manager in November 2000, having had over ten years marketing management
experience in several mail order and catalogue businesses, operating in both UK
and international markets.
