TeleMessage adds 'Record Your Name' Personalisation feature for Sprint Text to Landline

Messaging International Plc, the AIM traded provider of innovative messaging services, has, through its 100% owned subsidiary, TeleMessage Ltd, added a new personalisation feature for Sprint Text to Landline users. Users now have the option to personalise their communications, by recording their voices at the beginning of their Text to Landline messages.  Sprint was the first U.S. carrier to offer bilingual language support (English and Spanish) to Text to Landline and continues to lead and drive growth and usage by adding this new personalisation feature to the service provided by TeleMessage.

Text to Landline allows users to create a text message from mobile phone and send it to any landline phone.  A text-to-speech engine converts the text and allows the receivers to hear the messages.  Meanwhile, the senders receive status messages back indicating whether the text was successfully delivered to a person, a voicemail or not delivered.  Now, with this enhancement for application, users can simply dial a number and follow the prompts to record their voice, which will then be attached to the beginning of each Text to Landline message sent.  When a recipient picks up the message, they will then hear the sender's recorded voice, '…. has sent you a Text to Landline message.'

Text to Landline has opened the text messaging market beyond mobile phones.  By continuing to invest in enhancements that improve the user experience, TeleMessage is helping carriers to increase adoption and growth.

'We are pleased to be working with Sprint to offer their users this much more customised way to send their Text to Landline messages,' said Mark Carlin, VP of Sales Americas for TeleMessage.  'There is no more personal way to leave a text message than to have one's own voice attached.  As more and more users recognise the convenience of Text to Landline, this feature is just one more way in which TeleMessage is working to open the lines of communication between its users.'
