                              Shires Income plc

                            Third Interim Dividend


The Board of Shires Income plc has declared a third interim dividend of 4.35p
per share in respect of the year to 31 March 2001 (third interim 2000 - 4.3p)
payable on 30 April 2001 to shareholders on the register at close of business
on 6 April 2001. The total of the three interim dividends declared for the
year to 31 March 2001 is 13.05 per share (2000 - 12.9p).
