Third Interim Dividend

The Board of Shires Income plc has declared a third interim dividend of 4.3p per
share in respect of the year to 31 March 2000 (third interim 1999 4.2p) payable
on 28 April 2000 to shareholders on the register at close of business on 7 April
2000.  The total of the three interim dividends declared for the year to 31
March 2000 is 12.9p per share (1999 13.25p, including a special dividend of
0.65p).
