SHIRES INCOME PLC APPOINTS NEW NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR



Tony Davidson was appointed a Non-Executive Director of Shires Income plc with
effect from 21 February 2007.


In accordance with Listing Rule 9.6.13R(1) Mr Davidson is currently Director of
the following publicly quoted companies:


JP Morgan Fleming European Fledgling Investment Trust plc

JP Morgan Fleming Worldwide Income Investment Trust plc


Mr Davidson was also a Director of Johnson Service Group plc from 17 March 1998
to 31 May 2002.


In addition, in accordance with Listing Rule 9.6.13R there are no details to be
disclosed in respect of the requirements in paragraphs (2) to (6)
