COURT CONFIRMATION OF CAPITAL REDUCTION

Capital & Counties Properties PLC ("Capital & Counties") is pleased to announce that the High Court of Justice in England and Wales has today made an order confirming the reduction of Capital & Counties' share capital.

The Capital & Counties reduction of capital (under which the nominal value of each Ordinary Share will be reduced from 80 pence to 25 pence) will become effective upon the Court's order being delivered to the Registrar of Companies in England and Wales, which is expected to take place tomorrow, on Tuesday, 18 May 2010.
