Emma FitzGerald to join Board of Severn Trent Plc on 1 April 2016

Severn Trent is pleased to announce the appointment of Emma FitzGerald to the Severn Trent Plc Board as Executive Director with effect from 1 April 2016. 

Emma joined Severn Trent in July 2015 as Managing Director of Wholesale Operations for Severn Trent Water Limited. She was previously CEO of Gas Distribution at National Grid.  Prior to joining National Grid, she pursued a 20 year career with Royal Dutch Shell where she held a variety of technical, strategic and general management positions based in Asia and Europe.

Commenting upon the appointment, Andrew Duff, Chairman of Severn Trent, said:

"I am delighted to welcome Emma to the Board. Her expertise will bring a huge amount of value in ensuring the delivery of the commitments we have made in our business plan."

The Company confirms that there is no information about Emma requiring disclosure under paragraph 9.6.13 (1) to (6) of the Listing Rules of the UK Listing Authority.
