          Severfield-Rowen plc (the 'Company' or 'Severfield-Rowen')

                   Result of Extraordinary General Meeting

Severfield-Rowen plc announces that the resolution proposed at the
Extraordinary

General Meeting held earlier today in respect of the sale of Dalton Airfield
Properties Limited, which owns the principal place of business of the group at
Dalton Airfield Industrial Estate, was duly passed. Accordingly, completion is
expected to take place later today.
