                   Severfield-Rowen Plc - Board Appointment

Severfield-Rowen Plc is pleased to announce the appointment of Brian William
Hick as Executive Director with immediate effect.

Brian Hick, 41, joined the Group in October 1989 rising through the ranks to
become Managing Director of Severfield-Reeve International as well as a
Director of Severfield-Reeve Structures.  With significant overseas
experience, Brian becomes the Main Board Director responsible for the
international business of the Group.

Peter Levine, Chairman, Severfield-Rowen said:
