SERABI MINING plc ("Serabi" or "the Company")

Serabi Mining plc advises that is has been notified that McRae
Investments Pty Ltd, disposed of 2.25 million shares in the Company
reducing its holding to 19,799,651, representing 17.83% of the issued
share capital.

Mr. WM Clough, a Director of the Company, is a Director of and has a
minority shareholding in McRae.  As a result of this disposal of
shares by McRae, Mr. WM Clough is deemed to have a beneficial
interest in a total 37,828,617 share representing 34.06% of the
issued capital.

The shares have been placed by the Company's brokers Numis Securities
Ltd. with a selection of institutional holders.

Graham Roberts, Serabi's Chairman, commented:

"McRae Investments has been a strong supporter of the Company during
its formative years.  This share sale, combined with a sale made in
November 2006, has allowed McRae to recoup some of its original
investment.  I have been advised by McRae that it is not their
intention to sell any further stock in the foreseeable future."
