Expansion of Facilities

Senior PLC 11 May 2001 11 May 2001 SENIOR ANNOUNCES EXPANSION OF AEROSPACE FACILITIES Senior plc, the international manufacturing group, today announces that it will be investing in two new production facilities in order to increase both capacity and efficiency to meet growing Aerospace demand. Senior Aerospace - BWT in Macclesfield, England will be relocated to a new, purpose built leased 65,000 sq. ft factory close to its current site. BWT has increased its market share dramatically in the last two years, winning key development programmes in the regional jet market. In order to facilitate continued growth BWT now needs to move to a larger facility. It is anticipated that sales volumes will be significantly increased while maintaining current operating margins. Senior Aerospace - ERMETO in Blois, France will build a new, owned 70,000 sq. ft production facility close to its existing sites. Ermeto has grown steadily over recent years and is close to capacity within its existing five facilities. The new facility will allow consolidation of all current activities onto one site and provide capacity for further growth, as well as improving efficiency.
