                           Sondex plc ("the Company")

                  Application for block listing of securities

The Company announces that application for a block listing of options over a
total of 338,600 new ordinary shares of 10 pence each in the Company  ("Ordinary
Shares") has been made to The Official List of the UK Listing Authority and for
admission to trading on the London Stock Exchange's market for listed securities
("Admission"). These applications are in respect of options granted over new
Ordinary Shares but which have not yet been exercised. These options have been
granted pursuant to the Sondex 1998 Executive Share Option Scheme. Such block
listing and Admission are expected to become effective on 18 July 2003.
