                           SONDEX PLC ("THE COMPANY")



The Company announces that it has issued and allotted 24,501 new ordinary shares
of 10p each ("New Shares") to employees pursuant to the exercise of options
granted under its 1998 Executive Share Option Scheme and which were exercised at
10p per share. The New Shares will rank pari passu with the existing ordinary
shares of 10p each.



Application has been made to the UK Listing Authority and to the London Stock
Exchange for the New Shares to be admitted to the Official List and to trading
on the London Stock Exchange's market for listed securities ('Admission'). It is
expected that Admission will occur on 14 July 2003.
