Repayment of Loan

The Board of The Scottish Oriental Smaller Companies Trust plc, ("the Company") announces that the five year fixed rate loan of £20m held with National Australia Bank has been repaid in full including interest due under the loan agreement. The loan was repaid using the Company's cash resources, which were £53m at close of business on 31 May 2017.
