Schroders PLC 28 February 2001 Schroders plc Appointment of Non-Executive Director The Board of Schroders plc are pleased to announce the appointment of Nicholas Ferguson as a non-executive Director with effect from 28th February 2001. Mr Ferguson, aged 52, has been Chairman of Schroder Ventures since 1984 and is also a Director of Schroder Ventures International Investment Trust plc. From 1976 to 1980 he was an executive and latterly Chief Executive Officer of Middle East Financial Consulting Association, Munich. He rejoined Schroders in 1980 and from 1980 to 1984 was Chief Executive of Singapore International Merchant Bankers Limited, a joint venture between Schroders and OCBC. Since 1984 he has been Chairman of Schroder Ventures. He has an M.B.A. from, and is a Baker Scholar of, Harvard Business School. He is a Director of Schroder Ventures International Investment Trust plc, Chairman of the Somerset House Arts Fund, a Director of the Courtauld Institute of Art, and Chairman of William Temple House.
