Schroder UK Mid Cap Fund plc (the "Company") is pleased to announce the appointment of Wendy Colquhoun as an independent non-executive director of the Company, effective 1 January 2020. Ms Colquhoun has also been appointed a member of the Audit and Risk, Nomination and Remuneration, and Management Engagement Committees.

Ms Colquhoun is a qualified solicitor who has extensive experience and a thorough understanding of investment trusts and the regulatory and other challenges they face. Ms Colquhoun is a non-executive director of Henderson Opportunities Trust plc and is a director and chair of the risk and governance committee of Scottish Financial Enterprise.

It is confirmed that there are no other details to be disclosed under Listing Rule 9.6.13 R.

At the date of this announcement, Ms Colquhoun holds no interests in the shares of the Company.
