second Interim Dividend

For The Year Ending 31 August 2009

Schroder Oriental Income Fund Limited (the "Company") announces that the Directors of the Company have declared the payment of a second interim dividend of 3.00 pence per share for the year ending 31 August 2009 on the Ordinary Shares of the Company. 

The Company paid a first interim dividend of 2.50 pence per share in April, an increase of 1% on the first interim dividend of 2.475 pence per share paid last year. 

The total dividends for the year will be 5.50p per share, representing an increase of 1.4% on the total dividends of 5.425 pence per share paid last year.
