                    Market Purchase of Company's Own Shares


Notification is given that pursuant to the authority granted at an Annual
General Meeting on 30 March 2006 to make market purchases of the Company's own
ordinary shares of 5p each, a market purchase of 50,000 ordinary shares in the
capital of the Company was made today at a price of 114.50p per share.

Following this purchase and cancellation there are 184,128,359 ordinary shares
in issue.
