                   Portfolio Manager and Director Resignation


Further to the announcement made on 12 July, the Board of Henderson TR Pacific
Investment Trust plc is pleased to announce that Andrew Beal will assume
responsibility for the Trust's portfolio with effect from today's date.

Andrew joined Henderson Global Investors on 1 August 2005 and has been working
with Michael Watt, the former Portfolio Manager, to ensure a smooth handover of
responsibilities.

Michael Watt has today retired as a director of the company.  The Board extends
their thanks to Michael for his valuable contribution as a Director and Manager
since the company was launched in 1987.
