                    Notification of Substantial Shareholding


Walker Greenbank plc (AIM: WGB), the wallpaper, textiles and furnishings
business whose brands include Sanderson, Morris & Co, Harlequin and Zoffany,
announces that on 23 January 2007 it was notified by AXA Investment Managers UK
Ltd that AXA SA is interested in 2,770,010 ordinary shares of 1p each in the
Company.

Of these 2,770,010 ordinary shares, 2,000,010 (3.39%) are a beneficial interest
held by AXA Framlington (2,000,000 ordinary shares) and Sun Life Pensions
Management Ltd (10 ordinary shares) and 770,000 are a non-beneficial interest
held by AXA France.

As a result, AXA SA has a beneficial interest in 3.39% of the Company's ordinary
issued share capital, compared with 0% prior to this announcement.
