Walker Greenbank PLC 3 September 2001 3 September 2001 Walker Greenbank sells Warner Fabrics Walker Greenbank, the wallcoverings and fabrics group, has agreed the sale of Warner Fabrics, one of its fabrics businesses to Turnell and Gigon Design and Supply Limited, a private fabrics company for £453,000, of which £275,000 is payable on completion and the balance in instalments to August 2002. The sale will allow the group to concentrate its design and marketing skills at the top-end sector of the fabric and wallpaper market on its Zoffany brand. The proceeds from the sale will allow further development of Zoffany as well as other initiatives in the Walker Greenbank group. The loss on disposal is £100,000 before taking account of a further £1.2 million of goodwill previously written off to reserves. The Warner Archive of historic fabric designs for woven and printed furnishing and clothing fabrics is not included in the sale.
