                            APPOINTMENT OF DIRECTOR

Walker Greenbank PLC ('the Company'), the wallcoverings and furnishing fabrics
group, is pleased to announce the appointment of two directors to the board with
effect from 1st December 2004.

Charles Gray (61) has been appointed as a non-executive director. Mr Gray is a
Chartered Accountant who brings with him extensive experience in the fields of
textile manufacture and engineering. He is currently a director of Yorklyde Plc
and within the previous five years he was a director of Moorbrook Textiles
Limited.

David Harold Smallridge (49) has been appointed as an executive director
following his recent appointment as Managing Director of the Company's three
main fabric and wallcovering brands, Harlequin, Sanderson and Zoffany. He has
been employed by the Company since 2002 and has wide experience as a managing
director in the consumer products sector. Within the previous five years he was
a director of Monkwell Limited, a furnishings fabric business.

There are no other disclosures required under Schedule 2(f) of the AIM Rules.
