                            Director Share Purchase


Walker Greenbank plc (AIM: WGB), the wallpaper, textiles and furnishings
business whose brands include Harlequin, Sanderson and Zoffany, announces that
Ian Kirkham, the Company's Chairman, purchased 150,000 ordinary shares of 1p
each in the Company at a price of 16.5p per share on 29 July 2005.

Mr Kirkham's resultant shareholding is 500,000 shares, equivalent to 0.847 per
cent of the Company's issued share capital.
